One of the great modern myths of the world, the myth of Dracula, the lonely
vampire, who haunts the mysterious lands of Transylvania, has arisen the
imagination of many generations.
Vampires,
along with spirits, ghosts, demons and other mystic characters are found
in the most ancient world's tales. But, the people's fears never seemed
so well found in a character, as well as they were in Dracula's legend.
Amplified by our native background, the myth passed over the historical
truth, which is at least as much exciting as the legend.
This site tries to unite the two aspects, presenting both the legends of Dracula and the historical truth of the one who gave birth to the myth, the voivode Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler), one of the most interesting and controversial characters of the entire history.
